It is important to get good health insurance coverage against unexpected medical expenses in order to avoid to be buried in debt. In industrialized countries like the US, where the health insurance companies constantly change their policy, it is necessary that you have adequate information before choosing a health insurance plan. This article explains the different types of health insurance, their advantages and disadvantages so that can choose wisely if you shop for health insurance.</p>

<p><strong>Individual health insurance</strong></p>

<p>Individual health insurance is a form of individual contract between you and an insurance company to guarantee the repayment of all or almost all medical expenses. This may includes hospitalization, medications, dental care, seeing a specialist, and certain therapies (radiotherapy, chemotherapy, etc.). This service may be provided by a government-sponsored social insurance program (mostly for individuals with low income), or from private insurance companies.</p>

<p><strong>What is the history behind health insurance?</strong></p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Some hundred years ago, before the appearance of health insurance, all patients used to pay their health care costs. Around 1694, Hugh the elder Chamberlen (1630-1720) introduced health insurance. At that time, the idea was not widely known and welcomed by the public. Around the end of the 19th century, health insurance took an expansion, and other forms insurance such as accidental or disability insurance started being available in certain states in the United States.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Franklin Health Insurance Company of Massachusetts was the first company to provide accident insurance in the United States. However, it covered only injuries caused by railroad and steamboat. As the insurance industry grows, in 1866, there were approximately sixty companies offering accidental insurance in the United States. Today, there are more insurance companies than we can count.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>Although there are numerous insurance companies, health insurance plans are grouped into three main categories:</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>Fee-for-service</strong> &#8211; also known as indemnity plans is a type of insurance plan where you, patient, have to pay all medical expenses out of your own pockets, and then request a reimbursement from your insurance company. These types of plans have their advantages and disadvantages.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>Advantages:</strong> they offer more flexibility in choosing your own doctor. You can decide the time to see your health care provider, and what type of treatment you want; as long as you remain in the limit that your insurer will pay</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>Disadvantages:</strong> in indemnity plans, most doctors require upfront payment, so you have to submit claim forms to the insurance company to receive a reimbursement. That requires paper work, and sometimes many phone calls. Fee-for-service plans offer limit benefits; they do not cover annual physical exam and educational programs.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>HMOs (Health Maintenance Organizations) &#8211; </strong>Health maintenance organizations (HMOs) are managed care plans that offer health care coverage to their members through hospitals, doctors, and other health care providers that are in their network. That is, having their service, you are limited to members of their network.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>Advantages:</strong> unlike Fee-for-service plans, you do not have to pay up front; although some of them require a copayment. You do not need to submit forms after forms to receive reimbursement. In addition, HMOs usually charge a lower cost.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>Disadvantages:</strong> you can use only health care providers who are associated with the organization. Most HMOs (Health Maintenance Organizations) tend to refuse to approve certain treatments. Although some HMOs accept their members to see physician or specialists who are not in their network, they often charge you additional costs.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>(PPOs) participating provider organization</strong>, also known as<strong> </strong>Preferred Provider Organizations &#8211; is a form of managed care organization of physicians <a title="Medical doctor" rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medical_doctor">,</a> hospitals, clinics and other health care providers that sign a contract with an insurer to provide health services to its member at reduced rates . Usually, PPOs cost more than traditional HMOs, but offer more options to their members.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>Advantages</strong>: Preferred Provider Organizations provide more flexibility to their members; they have a bigger network of doctors and hospitals. You can take service from health care providers that are not part of their networks (certain charges often apply). You pay Lower copayments for care from primary care physicians. In addition, you do not need a referral to see a specialist.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p><strong>Disadvantages: </strong>PPOs cost more than traditional HMOs. You will more likely to make co-payments (usually from $10 to $30) when you visit a health specialist. <strong></strong></p>

Ideally, the sources of vitamins, minerals and nutrients are the food we take but sometimes due to faulty eating habits and improper diet there arises some gap in our nutritional requirements. We must know the role of nutrition in our proper health. Basically nutrition refers to the nurturing of our body, in our ability to keep it healthy and functioning as it is supposed to do. So it is very essential to take care that our nutritional requirements are properly fulfilled. </p>

<p>Also due to modern processing and farming methods, foods that should be high in certain nutrients no longer are. Another culprit in the nutrition depletion of foods is our food cooking and preparation. Like these there are many other factors contributing to the poor nutrient content of our foods.</p>

All of these things we do every day and do it without a second thought. It is not considered a chore or too much of an effort to do these things, it is part of our every day routine.  </p>
<p>So why if we do these things and do not even bat an eye lid when we do them, do we find or see <a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://www.dietreviewzone.com/weight-loss-site-reviews/proactol-weight-loss-product-review">losing weight and exercising </a>as too much effort? Something we simply cannot commit to or be bothered to even start. Filling our heads with all sorts of excuses such as, I&#8217;ll start tomorrow or I have not got the time. <p>First, if you have not already done so, complete a Health Evaluation Questionnaire and determine your health index.  Once you complete the questionnaire and have determined your health index, you will have an idea of the amount and frequency of a liquid nutritional supplement is best for you.  If you simply taste the supplement to see if it is right for you, a serving of one to two ounces is adequate.</p>

<p>Some general guidelines about your first serving:</p>

<p>1.  Gently shake the bottle of your nutritional supplement.  This will mix the tiny bits of sea vegetable pulp with the aloe vera.  You should shake the bottle before every serving.</p>

<p>2. For your first servings, use a measuring cup.  We have a tendency to under or overestimate how much is one, two, four or eight ounces so using a measuring cup will allow us to reset our estimating process.</p>

<p>3. Use the same glass every time.  Once you&#8217;ve measured out the specific amount that you want to consume, pour it into your favorite juice or wine glass.  Note the amount from the measuring cup and how much that amount fills your favorite glass.  Doing this for a few days will eliminate your need to use the measuring cup.  Note that you do not need to worry about taking too much of a whole food product.  It is like eating oranges or bananas.  You&#8217;re not at risk of overdosing with a whole food.</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>4. Take a small sip and hold the liquid nutritional supplement under your tongue.  Wait about 10 seconds and repeat several times.  Special cells under the tongue absorb nutrients directly into the bloodstream.  You will almost be able to feel the supplement &#8216;disappearing&#8217; under your tongue.  It&#8217;s actually being absorb by these special cells.  The more quickly you body absorbs the supplement, the more likely your body needs it!</p>
<p>&#13;</p>
<p>5. Store your open container of Aloe Vera and Sea Vegetable liquid nutritional supplement in the refrigerator.  It&#8217;s a whole food that has enzymes, amino acids, and other live nutrients.  Keeping it refrigerated will ensure it maintains its potency. In addition to refrigerating a whole food, since it is a whole food the nutritional supplement can be taken on either an empty stomach or with meals.  However, when first starting out, taking it on an empty stomach may cause some discomfort with those that have a stomach condition or any stomach toxicity.  It could make your stomach feel queasy.  If this occurs, you can reduce or eliminate the feeling by eating a little bit of food. However, in today&#8217;s scientific research of nourishment and its effects on the body, it&#8217;s plain to see that food isn&#8217;t something we can take for granted. Our body is a machine of sorts that relies on the energy that we give it. </p>
<p>If we aren&#8217;t fueling up with the appropriate kinds of <strong><a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://www.foodandweightloss.com">foods</a></strong>, we are giving our body less of a chance to succeed in the activities that we need it to do. And just like a car that doesn&#8217;t get the right fuel, we can break down much sooner without the proper food.</p>
<p><strong>Defining wellbeing food</strong></p>
<p>The idea that fitness food is limited to carrots and celery is too narrow &#8211; in fact, healthful foods come from a mixture of sources. Starting with the meat group, you can choose from a number of foods: chicken, red meat, pork, and fish, for example. </p>
<p>From the dairy group, there&#8217;s yogurt, cheese, and milk.  In the vegetable group, there are hundreds of vegetables to choose from &#8211; peas, carrots, lettuce, zucchini, corn, spinach, and so many more. But you can also choose from the fruits &#8211; apples, oranges, pineapples, grapes, bananas, and more. And from the grains group, you have breads and oatmeal, for example. There&#8217;s also nuts and beans that fall into the wellbeing food groups as well.</p>
<p>What you may want to realize is that healthy foods are those that are as natural as possible &#8211; that is, they don&#8217;t have an extra ingredients to make them taste &#8216;good.&#8217;  They naturally taste good. You can find most fitness foods by heading to the outside aisles of your local supermarket, where the refrigerated sections are. These foods are the closet to their original form when they were picked &#8211; making them the best energy for your body as well.</p>
<p><strong>Defining rubbish food</strong></p>
<p>But on the other side of wellbeing food is the ever common rubbish food. These are foods that be full of preservatives and added ingredients that were not a part of the food to begin with. These would include anything from boxes of macaroni and cheese to pre-packaged dinners. rubbish food can look like nourishing food in some cases too. </p>
<p>Many more natural manufacturers are boxing up their foods to be quicker to prepare, but these can include unnecessary ingredients that may be harmful to your health. rubbish food is also found at fast food restaurants and street vendors, as well as some restaurants. When in doubt, if you can&#8217;t understand the ingredients list for a food, it&#8217;s probably not a good choice.  </p>
<p><strong>What you gain from eating a healthful food plan</strong></p>
<p>A healthy diet plan is the best way to energy your body because it allows the various systems within your body to access everything it needs in an quicker fashion.  Because your body doesn&#8217;t have to process artificial ingredients, it can get correct to the vitamins, minerals and other healthful parts of the food. </p>
<p>A healthy diet also does not include possibly harmful additives that have been linked with some cancers, food allergies, and weight gain. The human body was designed to run on a health diet plan that includes foods that are closest to the original source &#8211; the ground or the animal itself.</p>
<p><strong>Here are some other health benefits of health food:</strong></p>

<p>And this list is incomplete. A health diet regime allows your body to perform to its highest capacity, which allows you to function better than you ever could by ingesting rubbish foods.<br /><strong><br />How do I switch to wellbeing food?</strong></p>
<p>If you&#8217;re accustomed to eating rubbish food instead of health food, the transition can be a little more difficult. What you will want to do is slowly introduce new fitness foods to replace the rubbish that you have been choosing. </p>
<p>By replacing just 1 food at a time, you will start to generate new habits and feel better which then spurns you into adding even more healthful foods. Over time, you will create new habits as well as new fitness for yourself.</p>
